The collar would never completely dry out though and eventually it got mildew.. blech. I decided to throw it in the dryer on the next wash and was surprised that there was very very little size change. I machine dry every time now and haven't noticed any changes. It tightens up a bit but after you put it on and warm up for about 4-5 minutes it's back to normal... kind of like if you put blue jeans in the dryer.
